Unlocking Value in
Frontier Markets
I work at the intersection of technology, financial services, and emerging markets, with over a decade of operating experience and five years of institutional investing across Africa. Alongside my work at First Circle Capital, I spend my weekends building an emerging markets fintech portfolio in the public markets.
My investment philosophy rests on three principles: rigorous analysis, long time horizons, and sufficient exposure to capture asymmetric outcomes. The most durable opportunities in emerging markets fintech do not come from copying developed-market models, but from understanding local financial infrastructure, regulatory constraints, and incentive structures, and how these shape unit economics and scale.
"The largest risk is not volatility, but systematic underexposure to long-term wealth creation and persistent mispricing across emerging markets."
I publish biweekly macro and market structure data graphs in The Data Dive newsletter, share long-form research and investment memos, and host a podcast with founders and operators building financial infrastructure across emerging markets.
